3. Inferior standard of work

An electrical tradesperson is bound by law to install all wiring and equipment in accordance with the AS/NZS Wiring Rules; this must be done in a safe and sound practice. .

All trade and safety regulations must be complied with to protect the work completed and the workers, ie Industry Standards for Electrical Installations on Construction Sites (see below)

It is of great importance that the correct attitudes be adopted right from the beginning, as it is far too easy to fall into a poor approach to your work, which leads to substandard and dangerous work.

Safe and sound work practices depend totally on you. You are responsible to reject any material or equipment that is defective in anyway.

4. Flexible cords

Thirty percent (30%) of all electrical fatalities in Australia are associated with damaged, deteriorated or incorrectly connected flexible cords or incorrect connection of the earth wire in flexible cords.
