Course Summary
In 2007 the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) launched a new and innovative national training and accreditation program for contractors and electricians to meet the rapidly growing demand for energy efficient technology, products and installations. Branded as EcoSmart Electricians the program includes training, and an accreditation scheme enabling contractors to promote their knowledge and training as a unique selling point to their customers.

15-20 hours online and one day classroom attendance (8am - 4pm).

Course Content
In 2012 the training program was reviewed and updated to include new technologies such as lighting controls and energy management systems and the rapidly evolving LED technology market.

The course comprises three mandatory modules:

The delivery mechanism for the program is a blended learning program comprising online learning and one day in class.
