Electricians who successfully complete all four of the EcoSmart Electricians training modules will be recognized and granted Energy Efficiency Certification. The training course is being registered on the NTIS.
Certification will remain valid for a period of two years, after which electricians will need to reapply for recertification and demonstrate that they have maintained their knowledge and currency in the area of energy efficient installations and products by working in this area.
Contractors who employ the required number of electricians with Energy Efficiency Certification are eligible to apply for Accreditation as EcoSmart Electricians, which will enable them to trade and promote their additional skills and value add to the services they offer.
National Accreditation is currently $300 plus GST per annum.
